Due to an internal promotion we are currently recruiting for an ICT Operations Specialist. This role is based at the Brigade Headquarters in Aylesbury where our vision is to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest areas in England in which to live, work and travel.
The ICT Operations Specialist operates within a small ICT team (6 people) responsible for the provision of ICT and related services across the Service including 19 Fire Stations and around 500 staff in both Operational and Support Teams.
The Operations Specialist is the go-to team member for equipment and systems utilised on the front line by our Fire Fighters & Fire Appliances and is therefore key to the delivery of our service to the public.
No day is alike, the size of the team means we all must work together to ensure we meet our customer’s expectations. As you would expect for a ‘blue light’ service, we provide 24/7/365 support for our ICT Systems, and you will also be on the on-call rota to deliver this, (currently one week on / 6 off).
A valid driving license is essential as travel around the Authority's area of responsibility is a regular occurrence.
