Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has an exciting vacancy for a Vehicle Technician. This role is based in the workshop at Headquarters in Stocklake, Aylesbury, where our vision is to make Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes the safest areas in England in which to live, work and travel.[[br]][[br]]
[[strong]]About The Role[[/strong]][[br]][[br]]
The successful candidate will be part of a team that are responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of the fleet of emergency vehicles, plant, equipment and support vehicles that support the fire service.
[[strong]]Desirable Criteria[[/strong]]
[[ul]]
[[li]]NVQ Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification (or equivalent e.g. City and Guilds)[[/li]]
[[li]]Skilled in all aspects of light and heavy vehicle servicing and repairs, including diagnostics / electrics[[/li]]
[[li]]Experience of welding and associated equipment[[/li]]
[[li]]Vehicle and tool hydraulics[[/li]]
[[li]]Full driving licence, ideally with category C entitlement (LGV) [[/li]]
[[li]]Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative to high standards of work[[/li]]
[[li]]Live within 30 minutes travelling time to Aylesbury[[/li]]
[[/ul]]
[[strong]]Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service can offer you: [[/strong]]
[[li]]Competitive salary: £35,458 - £35,999 (including two hours guaranteed overtime per week and a market supplement). [[/li]]
[[li]]Potential earnings: £37,618 - £38,159 (including call-out allowance) [[/li]]
[[li]]Occasional casual overtime [[/li]]

[[li]]Working pattern - 39 hours per week: Monday - Thursday 08.00 - 17.00 and Friday 08.00 - 16.00[[/li]]
